Chez Eric Café & Bistro is a charismatic little bistro housed in a small heritage home. Step inside and you’ll immediately be greeted by delicious aromas and friendly cooks from our open kitchen. We’ll make sure that you feel at home in our cozy dining room, whether you’re heading to a show at the Blacksheep or celebrating a special anniversary.

We certainly don’t have the fanciest of restaurant equipment and we have been described as quirky… but we are very serious about our food and love for food. We use the best ingredients and use them with respect, preparing virtually everything in-house.

Our food is modern Quebecois …and if you know anything about Chef Owner Che Chartrand, his food is fun, colourful and full of heart like him. Chef Che and his team find inspiration in the abundance of farms in the area, the bushels of vegetables and herbs grown onsite, and even from the variety of edible flowers in the Chez Eric garden.

 
 

We subscribe to the international Slow Food movement and as such, our mission is to preserve the local ecosystem and reduce the dietary impact on our planet by sourcing out the best ingredients with a respectful mind. Local,
fair trade, organic, sustainable, and friendly-farming are some of the ways that we can make a difference. Every year we find new ways to reduce our
impact on the environment and improve our product due to our diligent and
determined practices. Growing many of our own vegetables, fruits and herbs on site inspires not only our menus but also reminds us that we can change the world one bite at a time.

Children are always welcome and give rave reviews of our famous Chez Jr. Grilled Cheese! So come in and experience the “Chez”. We know that you’ll love our food like we love food.
